Welcome to Meraki Healing Center, PLLC

We offer specialized trauma therapy services to survivors in and around Denver, CO.

Meraki (Greek): to leave a piece of yourself – a piece of your soul – in everything you do or create.

If you’ve ever thought, “Something happened to me — but I don’t know how to explain it,” or “I’m functioning, but I’m not okay,” you’re not alone — and you’re not broken. Meraki Healing Center is here to support you as you embark on your healing journey. At Meraki HC, our niche is working with survivors who have experienced trauma, including complex trauma, dissociation, and other associated trauma-related concerns.

Many people who come to our practice have lived through experiences that were overwhelming, ongoing, or impossible to escape – often in relationships that were supposed to feel safe. Over time, the nervous system learns to adapt in remarkable ways to survive. Those adaptations can later show up as emotional disconnection, intense reactions, self-doubt, or patterns that feel confusing or frustrating.

If you’ve ever felt like traditional therapy didn’t quite reach the deeper layers of what you carry – or like you’ve spent years “functioning” without truly feeling okay – you’re in the right place. Complex trauma doesn’t always look dramatic on the outside, but it often lives quietly in the body, relationships, and inner world.

We might be the right fit for you if you are someone who experiences:

  • feeling emotionally disconnected, numb, or “shut down“, even when you want to feel
  • feeling overwhelmed by emotions that seem to come out of nowhere, or swing rapidly
  • a sense of being “too much” or “not enough” at the same time
  • chronic hypervigilance, tension, or difficulty relaxing – even in safe situations
  • trouble trusting others, yourself, or your own perceptions
  • feeling on edge, guarded, or bracing for something bad to happen
  • difficulty identifying, naming, or accessing emotions (“I know something’s there, I just can’t feel it”)
  • feeling fragmented, split, or like different parts of you want different things
  • strong inner critics, self-blame, shame, or harsh internal dialogue
  • repeating relational patterns that don’t align with what you consciously want
  • fear of closeness paired with fear of abandonment
  • feeling stuck in your head, over-analyzing, or intellectualizing as a way to cope
  • episodes of dissociation, spacing out, losing time, or feeling unreal or detached from your body
  • difficulty with boundaries – either over-functioning for others or withdrawing entirely
  • a sense that past experiences are still living in your body, not just in memory
  • feeling exhausted from “holding it together” or functioning well on the outside while struggling internally
  • having tried therapy before, but feeling like it stayed too surface-level or didn’t touch the root

Our work is grounded in the belief that your responses make sense given what you’ve been through. Healing doesn’t happen by pushing harder – it happens through safety, attunement, and working at the pace your system allows. Together we will work to provide your nervous system with the conditions necessary to experience true, lasting recovery.
